2023 ADR Conference

There is a big difference between the IEP meeting and the IEP process. Specifically, the IEP meeting is one day, and the IEP process involves the other 364. Conflict between IEP team members seldom starts in the IEP meeting. Through Socratic seminar participants will identify ways the IEP team can turn traditional school events into team building exercises that develop relationships and reduce the potential for future conflict. By focusing on transparent communication and sharing information efficiently, IEP teams can build relationships that will make engaging in conflict more manageable when it inevitably arises.
